Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using The Gaming Owl (“TGO”, “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use TGO.

2. Description of service

TGO is a gaming companion platform that lets you track your game library, monitor deals across storefronts, manage your backlog, and receive personalised notifications. We are currently in early access. Features and availability may change.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. TGO is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts. We reserve the right to merge or suspend duplicate accounts.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise access TGO’s underlying data or infrastructure without authorisation.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it.
• Use automated tools to create accounts or interact with the Service in bulk without prior written consent.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity.

5. Subscriptions and billing

TGO offers a Free tier and a Pro subscription. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice.

6. Third-party services and data

Deal prices, giveaway availability, and game metadata are sourced from third parties (GG Deals, GamerPower, IGDB). TGO does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. Prices and availability shown in the Service may differ from those offered directly by storefronts.

Linking a gaming platform account (e.g. Steam) is optional. By linking a platform, you authorise TGO to read the relevant data (library, achievements, etc.) via that platform’s official API.

7. Intellectual property

The TGO name, logo, and all original content on the Service are owned by The Gaming Owl and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use TGO’s branding without prior written consent. Game names, artwork, and trademarks referenced on the platform belong to their respective rights holders.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. TGO does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular deal or giveaway will be available when you act on a notification.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TGO and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill) arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time via account settings or by contacting support.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email and update the “last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
